In 2017, I proposed the exhibition Peaceable Kingdom to Equity Gallery in New York City. The idea was based on the series of over 100 paintings by folk artist and minister, Edward Hicks, all titled, ‘Peaceable Kingdom.’ My proposal envisioned a new conception of Peaceable Kingdom, with artists responding to the idea in their own work. In 2023, I was invited to revisit the original exhibition and invite the artists to contribute new work.
